Windows Version:

  1. The lower right corner of the computer desktop

  2. Select WLAN in the upper left corner of the new page

  3. Change "Properties"

  4. Double-click Internet Protocol Version 4

  5. Modify DNS settings, click "Use the following DNS service address" to modify it to 8.8.8.8 or 8.8.4.4

Mac Version:

  1. On your Mac, choose Apple menu > System Preferences, then click Network. In the list on the left, select the network connection service you want to use (such as Wi-Fi or Ethernet), then click Advanced.

  2. Click DNS, then click the Add button at the bottom of the DNS Servers list. Enter the IPv4 or IPv6 address for the DNS server.

  3. Click the Add button at the bottom of the Search Domain list, then enter the search domain — for example, set DNS to be 8.8.8.8 or 8.8.4.4.

  4. When you’ve finished, click OK.

Android Version:

  1. Open Settings on the device.

  2. Go to Connections and select Wi-Fi.

  3. Next to your Current network, press the cog icon and go to Advanced.

  4. Change IP settings to Static.

  5. In the DNS 1 and DNS 2 fields that appeared, enter the following: 8.8.8.8 or 8.8.4.4

Press Save, disconnect from the network, and reconnect for the changes to take effect.

iOS Version:

  1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad

  2. Navigate to the Wi-Fi options on the side-bar.

  3. Now, on the right pane, you will see the name of the WiFi network you are connected to. It will have a blue checkmark next to it, to indicate it is working fine.

  4. Tap anywhere on the line with the WiFi network’s name or the icons on the edge. This open’s the settings which are specific to the selected network.

  5. Scroll down till you say the Configure DNS option. If it says “Automatic”, it means no custom DNS has been enabled, and the network is connecting to your ISP’s DNS servers.

  6. Tap on Configure DNS, and then on the “Manual” option. Now you will see an Add server option.

  7. Use this to set DNS to be 8.8.8.8 or 8.8.4.4.

Don’t forget to hit the save button on the top right corner, to finish adding the DNS server.
